G5 Case Mod
Here are some pictures of a G5 case mod I made sometime ago. It hosted a P5K-VM board with a CD2 quad; nothing fancy but it was rock stable. I used a Lian-Li motherboard tray for the back.
Also the mod includes an Apple IR (infrared) board connected to one of the USB ports, which adds the ability to respond to the Apple Remote control. Thats really nice feature.
The ATX PSU is hosted in the original G5 PSU case on the bottom of the case, and has two revoltec 60mm fans to cool it down. To reduce the noise to its minimum I've added a pot between the power source an the fans to reduce the rotation speed.
Of course Im using one of my G5 ATX cables to connect the G5 front panel to the motherboard.
